So it’s Sunday night here in the United Kingdom and I for one can’t understand where the weekend has gone? Any idea people?
Anyway, it’s back to work tomorrow and it’s a full week ahead. I’m probably going to start early tomorrow too as there is no way I am working till 7pm every night. I mean, that’s literally like spending the whole day working. And it’s pasta night tomorrow so that’s good – even though I have moved to lactofree cheese which I have to say has somewhat of an aftertaste (side note, this was a decision based in my body’s metabolism of lactose and I’m not just on a health trip). Still a fatty though which is a hit with the ladies (NOT). Actually a weighed in at 20 stone the other day which was MORTIFYING. I hate these tablets I’m on. I was warned they could put some heavy weight on but this is ridiculous. I have to change them because otherwise I’m going to end up single for the rest of my life.
But yes, the weekend has gone and I feel like it was a rather administrative. Ordered some things for Christmas. Spent time organising things. I didn’t even get the chance to watch the Apprentice or Twin Peaks.
I’m hoping to connect with people more on WordPress. I don’t know whether the best way to do that is by using Twitter or something but there are a lot of interesting people out there and I want to get to know you all. I’ve read some really great blogs too. And if you haven’t heard about Choppy and Scooner yet, then you really must. Anyway, like I said I’ve really got the urge to get to know more of you. Some really funny stuff out there and some really cool people too. Hell, there are some very good looking folk who blog on here but you all have boyfriends ha! Such is life right? But hey, I really want you to get in touch.
And by the way, isn’t it funny how many people favourite blogs that they don’t even read. I reckon loads do. I just find that weird. If I favourite something, it’s because I’ve read it and liked it. It’s a shame because as much as I like your “likes”, I’d love to interact with you. Honestly, I’m not a bad guy Haha.
And now for a moment of zen.
Our weekend consisted of me deep couch sitting (being sick) and a trip to a micro brewery/rescue pup event. Lots of cute dogs there and a great selection of craft beer. It was cool because you could get beer in 4 different sizes. The smallest being 5 ounces for about $3. A great way to try lots of different beer. We aren’t in the market for a dog, as we already have two rescues, but it for a good cause.
I’ve found followers by looking at posts, then looking at the people who comment. I then go look at their about, and if I like what I see, I follow them. I have gotten quite a few followers by doing this. Good luck.

Thank you for posting and sorry to hear that you have been sick. Not sure drinking beer is the best idea if you are sick but I’ll let you off.
I’m the same with how I meet followers but I’m hoping that I can interact more basically. It’s better than just blindly liking everything without reading it anyway!

I hear that. I only had two beers, but then we went for some amazing Indian food. OMG! The garlic naan was to die for!

Indian food while sick!? Aye aye aye you are a brave woman. I can rarely eaten Indian because I’m allergic to gluten. Sucks really.

I have a bad cough/cold. I love spicy food. Sorry about your gluten allergy. That is really big in the U.S. I know people are genuinely allergic, but everybody seems to have jumped on the gluten free band wagon. I mean gluten free dog shampoo? Is your dog going to drink it’s shampoo!?!? Good grief!

Ah yeah, I’m more swaying to celiac style of allergy and I become violently ill. I’d love to have that kind of freedom you have in America with the food. We have next to nothing here.

Oh, my condolences, on your food anyway. Is that why you folks drink so much? LOL!

Hi David! I have some blogs I follow included on my blog. I’m not sure what your interests are. Feel free to check them out. I’ve gotten several followers from Twitter too. What’s your Twitter so I can follow you?

I don’t have a twitter account as of right now which is why I’m contemplating it. My interests are pretty varied. I like discussing politics, sports, movies, being generally silly and chatting to people generally! I like people who are able to share ideas without preaching and who are not closed minded 🙂

Twitter really helped me get followers. None of the blogs I follow are really closed-minded. Let me guess, do you like football?? It’s soccer here.

Yeah I love football / soccer. I’m a Chelsea supporter. And that’s good that you have no closed minded people. That would be frustrating lol.

Lol right! I like soccer too but mostly just the World Cup. I love American football.

Ha yeah, I love the World Cup too but never with England. It’s just depressing watching them. And I kind of like the NFL. I mean, I love the cheerleaders and the game seems fun. I just can’t handle the adverts.

Lol. I always go for the U.S., Mexico second in the World Cup. I’m a huge Dallas Cowboys fan. I’m watching the game right now.

I used to be a Dallas Cowboys fan but I’m more of a Houston Texans fan these days. My uncle used to say I looked like Tony Romo though lol!

Oh no! Lol. My sister likes them too… I guess because she lives in Houston.

Sounds like as good a reason as any! I do think the Texans are pretty funky though.

The Cowboys have the best record so far this season. They’re tied with the New England Patriots.

Boo! The Patriots! And I’ll see it when I believe it with the Cowboys. They’ve blown it a lot recently.

Lol. They’re beating the Steelers right now.

Let’s see what happens when it matters. The playoffs. And by the way, to be the Steelers always sounds like a male stripper group…

They have a rookie quarterback that’s better than Romo. I’m sure they’ll be alright for the playoffs.
